Our Sixth Form is vibrant, dynamic and inclusive, offering a range of A-level and BTEC courses (as well as the Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate) to suit all students’ needs. We have a strong support team, which includes mentors who offer regular, personalised coaching and we are committed to aiding all pupils in their various achievements.
In addition to their academic pursuits, pupils at Chepstow School Sixth Form experience a wide range of enrichment activities such as Duke of Edinburgh, Youth Speaker competitions and international tours with the Music and sports departments. We also offer students the opportunity to supplement their learning with MOOCs courses, which challenge and stretch all students.

Chepstow Sixth Form Students Celebrate an Incredible Summer of Success and
New Beginnings
Students at Chepstow School are celebrating another fantastic year of hard work and achievement as
they receive their A Level and AS results today. The results reflect the dedication, resilience and
ambition of Chepstow School’s Sixth Form students, who have excelled across a range of academic and
vocational subjects.
Students have secured progression routes into higher education, apprenticeships, employment and
further training, with many achieving and exceeding the results needed to take the next steps towards
their chosen careers.
Staff, governors and families joined students in celebrating their achievements, recognising the hard
work and dedication that have led to today’s success.
Among the many success stories were Kate Oxenham and Corinne Jones, who together secured an
outstanding six A*/A grades and will both progress to study Medicine at Cardiff University.
Success
Success in Languages and the Arts continued, with Cerys Warburton achieving one A* and three As
and securing a place to study Modern Languages at Manchester University. Poppy Coleman celebrated
three A grades and will pursue a degree in Film at the University of South Wales, while Bruno Chitnis,
who achieved an A*, two As and a B, will progress to a degree in English and Modern Languages at
Bristol University.
Head Student Toby Bennett achieved an excellent set of results, securing three A*/A grades and has
progressed to a highly competitive apprenticeship in Finance. Toby said: ‘I am extremely happy with
my results and I can’t thank the staff at Chepstow School enough for their personalised support. I am
very excited to start my new journey in finance – it has been a fantastic 7 years.’
This year saw particularly strong performances from several male students: Aidan Bridal achieved an
exceptional three A*s and an A and will embark on a Mathematics and Finance degree at Manchester
University. Ollie Hughes secured two A*s, an A and a B and will Study a degree apprenticeship in
Economics with UKRI, while Theo Hodkinson’s four A grades earned him a place to study Mechanical
Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
Oliver Butcher, Ewan Davies and Theo McKerrow also celebrated excellent results, achieving 8A grades
between them Whilst Ollie will study Law in Cardiff University, Ewan will now progress to study Maths
at Exeter University. Theo has chosen to defer entry to university before beginning a degree in Politics
and Internal Relations at Cardiff University. Theo has also achieved remarkable success with the
Dragons Rugby Academy and will focus on further developing his sporting career during his gap year.
The school’s AS students also celebrated an impressive set of results, providing a strong foundation for
their final year of Sixth Form. Outstanding performances were achieved by Katie Burrows (three As and
a B), Isobel Davies (four As), Amy Edwards (A*, 2As and a B), Dylan Haddow (four As), Alistair Laurie
(four As), Joseph Matthews (four As), Sofia Miklova (A* and three As), Mostyn Richards (three As and
a B) and Annabelle Thomas (four As). Their achievements reflect the hard work, commitment and
ambition that continue to characterise Chepstow School’s thriving Sixth Form community.
Kelly Waythe, Headteacher, said: ‘Today is a celebration of the talent, ambition and determination of
our students. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and of the resilience they have
shown throughout their studies. These excellent results are a testament to their hard work, supported
by dedicated staff and families who have encouraged them every step of the way. We congratulate
each and every one of them.’
Keith Dunn OBE, Chair of Governors, said: ‘On behalf of the entire Governing Body, I would like to
extend our warmest congratulations to all our young people on their excellent results announced
today. Their hard work, determination and positive attitude have been reflected in their achievements,
and they should be immensely proud of what they have accomplished.
I would also like to place on record our sincere thanks to our dedicated staff and to parents and carers
for the encouragement, support and commitment they provide throughout the year. It is through this
strong partnership between our young people, their families and our school that we are able to help
every pupil achieve their potential.’
He added ‘Today is a wonderful opportunity for our school community to celebrate the achievements
of our young people and to wish them every success as they take their next steps. We are extremely
