Why study Information & Communication Technology?
Today, ICT is at the heart of every job role, with the number of IT jobs growing at nearly 15% per year, there are
ample career path opportunities open to you through studying ICT, both within the UK and around the globe, not only
within the IT industries, though within business, science, medical professions and the armed forces too. As economies
and employment roles become more digitised, more and more jobs will become technology based in the future, so in
studying ICT at Chepstow, you are equipping yourself with skills of the future.
Alongside this benefit, you will have the opportunity to study interesting topics such as developing technologies and
expert systems, including artificial intelligence, medical robotics and robotic systems used in virtual reality and drones.
Furthermore, you will also study the ‘Internet of Things’, networks, cyber security and the types of malpractice and
crimes carried out using information systems.
