SOCIOLOGY
CYMDEITHASEG
The Sociology course is designed to make you think about how society works. You will examine questions such as:
‘How should we deal with crime?’, ‘How is wealth distributed in this country?’ and ‘Does education change society?’ As
sociologists, we study the social lives of humans, groups and societies. All human behaviour is social and therefore the
subject matter ranges from the family to the hostile mob; from organised crime to religious cults; from the division of
race, gender and social class, to the shared beliefs of common cultures and from the sociology of work to the sociology
of sports.
