Chepstow School’s ambitious Sixth Form have persevered to achieve top grades this summer!
Today (15th August 2024) our exceptional cohort of Sixth Form students, who embody our school values in everything that they do, celebrate their success at Post 16; achieving excellent results across a diverse range of subjects and 92% securing their first-choice universities.
Notable successes this year include:
Our super star twins, Megan and Bethan Pantry achieved an astonishing seven A* and As combined. Megan will now study Law at the University of Bristol and Bethan will attend University of Southampton to also study Law.
Morgan Jones, our Welsh Language Ambassador, achieved three A*s and one A in Welsh Language.
Harrison Coppen, our top Mathematician, achieved three A*s and one A in Further Mathematics which is a phenomenal achievement. Harrison will pursue Mechanical Engineering at Bristol University.
George Bevan achieved two A*s and two As and intends to study Conservation Biology at University of Plymouth.
Madison Brews achieved two A* and one A in Social Science subjects and will attend University of Nottingham to study Psychology.
Daniel Keedwell achieved two A* and one A and we looking to following Dan’s Career Pathway.
Luca Hodkinson achieved one A* and two As across STEM subjects and is continuing to study Mathematics at Manchester University.
Lucy Bradbury achieved 3As and will be attending Oxford University, studying Biology.
Sophie Hawker achieved two As and one B and has been recognised and awarded today for her outstanding young carer commitments. Sophie will now undertake Childhood Studies at University of Gloucester.
A special mention to Timur Mircev who achieved an A* in A-Level Russian; an invaluable mentor to our younger pupils, particularly our Ukranian families transitioning to Welsh Education.
Arran Trott, who obtained A*, A and a B, has been accepted in to the Royal Marines for Officer Training. After an incredibly rigorous selection process, Arran was one of 51 selected from the Commonwealth to be accepted – such a phenomenal achievement.
AS results have also been particularly promising this year with success attributed to Melissa Jane Atkinson, Ethan Bennett, twins Charlotte and Will Edwards and Ed Harris who have an accumulative total of 17 A grades between them
