Our Gold and Silver Academy Leaders will work across our three houses both with pastoral matters and within the linked curriculum areas. They will appoint a number of leaders within their houses to drive forward student involvement, empowerment and ownership within school. The Sports Ambassadors have been meeting on a weekly basis to drive forwards the Sports and Young Leaders and their ability to plan and deliver safe, fun and effective sports activities within the 5X60 programme, school sport and primary school extra-curricular clubs. The sports leaders are going from strength to strength in their commitment and standard of planning and delivery.

The Level 2 Award in Sports Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification for learners aged 14 years and over who wish to develop their leadership skills. The syllabus is designed to develop generic leadership skills that can be applied to a variety of sporting situations as well as contributing to the personal development of the learner. It is a practical qualification in which learners must demonstrate their ability to lead others in sport/activity sessions. The aim of this qualification is to prepare responsible, motivated and confident people who can lead safe, purposeful and enjoyable sport/activity sessions whilst under direct supervision.
