Achievement for All Coaching & Enrichment

Achievement for All (AfA) transforms the lives of young people in their learning. Chepstow School, in partnership with AfA, strives to raise educational aspirations, access and achievement.

As a school, we provide a coach-led, whole school improvement framework that raises standards across the curriculum, behaviour and attendance. We know that building constructive relationships with parents is key to igniting an interest in learning and shift any long-held negative attitudes to education. This, in turn, impacts positively on the student and significantly improves their performance in school and consequently their life chances.

The coaching team acts as an extension of the classroom, working with teachers, parents and external agencies to help our students overcome any barriers to learning.  AfA coaching will focus on academic and pastoral support and consist of analysing performance, discussing class and homework as well as supporting general wellbeing with the aim of aiding progress.

Working on a regular basis in both 1 to 1 and group sessions, we will encourage our students to set ambitious personal targets and then assist them in achieving these goals and gain overall confidence in their learning. As a new AfA team we are continually developing new ideas to bring coaching to life, offering enrichment programmes and after school clubs.

Laura Bridgeman, AfA Coach, will work in a partnership with our young learners, working towards developing key skills, providing the necessary support and ultimately helping our students realise their full potential.
