Chepstow School Staff Tackle the Three Peaks!
An intrepid team of staff from Chepstow School raised money for Velindre Cancer Care by tackling the National Three Peaks Challenge over the weekend of 21st – 22nd June. The challenge consists of climbing the three highest peaks in the UK – Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales – within 24 hours.
Last year the team successfully completed the Welsh Three Peaks and were given lots of support from team member Helene Roche who, although too ill to walk herself, made sure the team were kept fed and fit to complete the challenge.
Earlier this year, Helene lost her battle with cancer, so the team regrouped to take on this new challenge to remember their much loved and respected colleague, and to say thank-you to Velindre for the care and support they gave Helene throughout her illness.
Donations to the team for this worthy cause can still be made by visiting their JustGiving website at www.justgiving.com/chepstow-team.
