Badger's early morning visit!

Rescue mission underway

The school was empty at 7.30 this morning, apart from a few members of staff.....or so we thought! Our Facilities Manager, Mrs Stone, came across a very sorry looking badger in the diamonds. He was clearly unwell and reluctant to move, so she contacted the Gwent Badger Trust who sent someone immediately to the rescue. At the time of writing the badger, believed to be an adult male, is safely in the hands of a local vet and we await further news.

Update Thursday 16th April: Sadly the badger turned out to be very poorly and was put to sleep at the vets. We would like to thank the staff at the Badger Trust and will be making a donation on behalf of the students.
