Eisteddfod 2015

Breathing Welsh Fire into our Eisteddfod

On Monday 2nd March, we celebrated St David’s Day with our annual Eisteddfod for Years 7 and 8, presented by talented Year 9 students.   Departments ran off stage competitions for both year groups, with the opportunity to win house points and certificates.  Students were treated to musical performances, poetry, drama performances and dancing.  Some brave staff members even jumped on stage to have a go at folk dancing!  Oisin McDaid from Severn house was named the Eisteddfod bard in the prestigious chairing of the bard ceremony.  A big “Da iawn” to Severn house who won the overall competition.  Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb a gyfrannodd at Eisteddfod lwyddiannus. At Chepstow School we are immensely proud of our annual Eisteddfod which sees more and more exciting developments year after year. The geography of our school makes our celebrations truly exciting.

Congratulations to this year's winners, Ty Hafren!
