In October, both GCSE and A Level students who study Spanish or Art had the opportunity to go to Barcelona to experience Spanish culture, language and architecture. The hotel was located in Calella, Costa Brava, North-East of Barcelona.
The students and teachers visited the Nou Camp Football Stadium, Las Ramblas, La Sagrada Familia and Parc Guëll (Gaudi’s Park). Additionally, everyone participated in a Salsa class and took every opportunity to enjoy the sunshine on the beach. More importantly, those who study Spanish had the chance to practise their Spanish with the Catalonians and to embrace Spanish Culture.
“I really enjoyed the experience, because it was an opportunity to make friends with students from different year groups.”
-Ruby Richards (Year 11)
“It was a very cultural experience. The Camp Nou Stadium was surreal.”
- Cameron Rees (Year 11)
“The most enjoyable part of the trip was seeing Mr Knight Salsa dancing.”
- Sarah Stollery (Year 11)
